We truly love this place on Route J. The food is excellent (we go Friday nights). We get the 'all you can eat' fish. The fish is crunchy, flaky and delicious. Also they have superb desserts. We usually get the absolutely delicious homemade blackberry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. Also, you get plenty of dessert, not just a very small amount like so many restaurants. They have a good amount of seating and yes there is a wait time on weekends, but you can make a reservations which is a plus. Their food is reasonably priced and delicious and the waitresses are very nice and efficient. If you don't visit this place you will absolutely be missing out! I highly recommended!

Friendly service, nice atmosphere, decorated for the holidays! The food was really good too! My husband loved his giant chicken fried steak and I had the Angus steak, cooked to perfection, med. well, and seasoned just right, No steak sauce needed!! Yumm

Great Food. Great establishment. Easy going people. Saturday nights in the summer you should definitely consider calling in reservations with a party over 4 people.

Food is always amazing, fish, steaks, chicken, potatoes, salad, all of it. Owners and employees are friendly, talkative and fun! Sometimes the wait to be seated is long, but only because they are usually packed on the weekends. But trust and believe, it's worth every minute of your time. Now, if they'd just add a Bavarian pretzel to their menu...😉

Another of our favorite places while crappie fishing at Mark Twain Lake. Steaks, fried chicken and burgers are really good. Desserts are phenomenal, homemade cobblers, pies and cakes. Located just up Route J from Cannon Dam General Store!

We bought 2 burgers, both were cooked well done. Almost like they were frozen then tossed on the grill. Previous trip we had chicken that was almost too dry to eat. Deserts were good though. This place was extremely better 5 years ago.

Rustic Oak is a great place to eat. Friendly staff, excellent service. We had a group of 30 & with some planning ahead we had a wonderful experience. The Northcraft Reunion.

Had great steaks and fudge is great. Went twice....pricey ..steaks at Market Prices $20-30 range.. Ameretto fudge to "die for"

Always have a great meal at the Rustic Oak. It's a Mother's day tradition but also a great option for a Tuesday night birthday celebration. Great comfort food.

We were waiting an hour and a half from the time we got there to the time that we got our food. They didn’t seem to care that we didn’t like the food. It tasted old.

Cobblers are too hard to resist

My husband and I just happened to run into this far away restaurant while visiting the Mark Twain Lake area. I had the special that evening and it was delicious. We will be back.

The food especially the Berger and fried fish are so delicious!

I ordered chicken Tuscan it didn't have any spinach it was a red sauce it's supposed to be white. Chicken fried so crispy it was hard there mashed potatoes where terrible. Salad was great but they water down the dressing blue cheese had no blue cheese crumbles at all! I won't be back

Had a group of six visit for a birthday celebration after a day on Mark Twain Lake. Three of us had Prime Rib and it was excellent, as were the other meals that were ordered. The service is top notch too. We'll be back!

One of the best experiences in a very long time. Excellent food, great big cups of sweet tea, amazing desserts, very nice and attentive staff, and an incredibly cozy log cabin atmosphere. If I could give 10 stars I would. Well worth the 45 minute drive and we will be returning again and again. Thank you for the amazing dining experience.

Brats were delicious

They were packed so service was a little slow, but they were super friendly and the food was absolutely worth the wait. It was yummy and a very good size for the price :) I would definitely eat there again!!! I got so full I couldn't even finish my meal :)

All the food I've tried there is delicious, especially their sweet potato fries with cinnamon marshmallow dipping sauce! They also have a fudge shop and an ice cream shop there if you want to stop in for dessert.

The fish is wonderful, every meal is perfectly cooked to our tastes. The staff are professionals and super friendly. Halloween costumes during October, were really awesome..

4pc fried chicken really crunchy and tasty. Yesterday had strip steak two ways... expensive but really good. My son likes the fresh tasting salads and baked potatoes also

Dining area was dirty and both seat was broken. Dead animals on the wall watch you eat other dead animals. Shrimp was rubber and an very over cooked. Steak was thin and poor meat quality. The steak was perfectly cooked. Expected a better experience for the money.
